SUMMER SCHOOL

The Faculty of Physical Education, Sports, and Rehabilitation at Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University has launched a summer school as part of the European Union's Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Module project "Integrating European Values into Ukrainian Education, Science, and Sports" (EVUESS).

The aim of the school is to shape a value-based vision among young people based on the principles of democracy, inclusion, respect for human rights, intercultural dialogue, and a healthy lifestyle. Participants will gain new knowledge, practical skills, and experience in integrating European approaches into their professional environments.

The project coordinator, Associate Professor Iaroslav Galan, addressed the audience and presented the key objectives of the school, the topics of the events, and the format of interaction. He also emphasized the importance of actively involving students in the process of European integration through education, science, and sports.

The dean of the faculty, Professor Yuriy Moseychuk, a project participant, welcomed the participants and wished them fruitful work, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives for the development of modern education.

The head of the Department of Sports and Fitness, Professor Anna Hakman, emphasized the relevance of such educational formats for students in the context of social transformation.

Head of the Department of Therapy, Rehabilitation, and Health-Saving Technologies, Professor Lidiia Dotsyuk, emphasized the importance of implementing a barrier-free environment and the European vision of accessibility and equal opportunities.

Professor Yaroslav Zoriy emphasized the importance of understanding European values for students, who are the driving force behind change.

Professor Yan Kapranov shared his thoughts on innovative educational approaches, the importance of developing competencies based on European standards, and the challenges of modern education.

The school is attended by undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students of the faculty. The events will be held in a mixed format, and upon completion, participants will receive certificates. The educational component of the school is implemented with the participation of two departments: therapy, rehabilitation, and health-saving technologies, as well as the department of sports and fitness.
