May 20, 2026, the Faculty of Architecture, Construction, and Decorative and Applied Arts at Yuri Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University hosted a guest lecture as part of the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Module project “Integration of European Values into Ukrainian Education, Science, and Sports” / Integration of European Values into Ukrainian Education, Science, and Sports (EVUESS), which is co-funded by the European Union.
The purpose of the lecture was to disseminate the knowledge, approaches, methods, and practical findings obtained through the EVUESS project, as well as to promote European values in the fields of education, science, and sports.
The event began with a presentation of the project’s main achievements and results, delivered by the EVUESS coordinator, Candidate of Sciences in Physical Education and Sports, Associate Professor Yaroslav Halan. He familiarized participants with fundamental European values, presented the project team’s key achievements, and highlighted important activities carried out during the project’s implementation.
Special mention was made of a joint initiative with the faculty—the installation of the “Bench of Unity” on the campus, which has become a symbol of unity, partnership, and the promotion of European values among students.
The Associate Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Construction, and Decorative and Applied Arts, Candidate of Technical Sciences, and Associate Professor Yevheniia Novak emphasized the importance of spreading knowledge about European values in educational, scientific, and public spheres. She also noted the importance of cooperation between various university departments in the implementation of international educational projects.
The event was attended by students of the faculty, who participated in a survey during the lecture regarding their understanding and perception of European values. Based on their participation, they will receive electronic certificates as part of the project.
The guest lecture marked another important step in disseminating the results of the EVUESS project, fostering inter-faculty collaboration, and creating an educational environment where European values become a living reality for students.
