On November 7, 2025, Chernivtsi National University named after Yuri Fedkovych hosted an event as part of the European Union's Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Module project “Integration of European Values into Ukrainian Education, Science, and Sports” (EVUESS), which is co-financed by the European Union. The event was dedicated to promoting European values and expanding international cooperation in the fields of education, science, and sports.

Iryna Osovska, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work, International and Humanitarian Activities, Professor, Doctor of Philology, emphasized in her welcoming speech the importance of implementing international projects in the university's development strategy and establishing partnerships with European institutions. Yuriy Moseychuk, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Sports, and Rehabilitation, Professor, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, project participant, noted that the implementation of the EVUESS module contributes to raising the level of European education among students and developing international cooperation within the faculty. Yaroslav Zoriy, professor, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, project team member, emphasized the role of young people in promoting European values through educational and sports initiatives.

Yaroslav Galan, Deputy Dean for International and Project Activities, Associate Professor, Candidate of Sciences in Physical Education and Sports, project coordinator. In his report, he presented the results of the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Module EVUESS project, in particular the events and initiatives already carried out, innovative forms of training and education, as well as plans for the further development of the project. The speaker paid special attention to the university's interaction with international partners, the development of methodological materials, and the involvement of students in intercultural dialogue through sports and education.

Particular attention was paid to the speech by the representative of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, Dmytro Ivanov, who emphasized that such projects are an important component of the integration of European values into the sphere of education, science, and sports.

Vadim Smintina, Deputy Head of the National Youth Agency of the Republic of Moldova, also gave a presentation on the experience of integrating European values into Moldova's youth policy and educational initiatives, emphasizing the common approaches of both countries to fostering active citizenship among young people.

The event was also attended by representatives of the MilleniuM Institute for Training and Development (Moldova), who shared the results of their programs and methodologies for introducing European values into the youth environment.

Students of the Department of Sports and Fitness took an active part in the event. Also participating was Kateryna Georgitsa, a student of the Department of Theory and Methods of Physical Culture, who completed training in the project's summer and winter schools. She shared her own experience of participating in informal education aimed at integrating European values into the student environment, noting that the knowledge gained motivates young people to be active, proactive, and socially responsible.

In conclusion, the participants emphasized the importance of cooperation between Chernivtsi National University and international partners, which contributes to the implementation of joint projects, the exchange of experience, and the creation of new opportunities for students, teachers, and young people. The implementation of the EVUESS project is of great importance for Ukraine in the current conditions, as it contributes to European integration, the development of educational and sports culture, and the building of a democratic society based on common European values.
